Remedios Melero has a Ph degree in chemistry. She works in the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology-CSIC. She has been Vice-president of the European Association of Science Editors (2006-2012). She has worked and searched onto scholarly publications, open access and open research data for the last years. She is member of the Spanish research working group Open Access to Science, and has been partner of the European project NECOBELAC (2010-2012) which aimed to improve scientific writing, promote open access publication models, and foster technical and scientific cooperation between Europe and Latin American Caribbean countries. She is currently partner in FOSTER (Facilitate Open Science Training for European Research) EC project (2014- July 2016) which aims to promote open science best practices among all stakeholders involved in research life cycle.
