I´m head of the Miguel Servet University Hospital Medical Library, in Zaragoza, Spain. I´m specialized in Biomedical Information. Responsible for the selection, organization and dissemination of the library information resources and services.
Specialist in information retrieval skills in medical databases (Medline/PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, TRIP Database, Web of Science, Uptodate, nursing and other Spanish databases). High level of expertise in evidence based medicine tools, first steps in investigation methodology, advice in publication, embedded clinical information support, bibliographic managers (Endnote basic, Mendeley, Zotero) and quality management systems (our library obtained in 2013 the Certificate of Quality ISO 9001:2008)
In the last ten years I have been developing an intense teaching activity in medical and nursing residents training programs and continued medical and nursing education, about the skills mentioned before.
During the last two years, special emphasis on special courses and dissemination of the use of Web 2.0 tools applied to health (Blog BiblioServet) Collaboration in the development, implementation and improvement of the Virtual Library of Health Sciences in Aragon. Member of the EAHIL Council from 2013 (The European Association for Health Information and Libraries).
