Maurella attended her first EAHIL Conference in Oslo in 1994 and presented oral communications and posters at almost all EAHIL following events.
She was a Council member for the years 2001-2008 and 2011-2012, and involved in several of the International Program Committees of EAHIL conferences.
She co-chairs the Special Interest Group on MeSH. She is a member of the EAHIL Executive Board (2013-2016). She was co-Chair of the EAHIL Conference in Rome, Italy, 2014.
Maurella works as Director of Documentation Service at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the Italian National Institute of Health.
