Since 2007 I have worked as medical librarian at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) which is an international and governmental organisation from the European Union (EU). During the first years working at ECDC, I had the unique professional experience of setting up a medical library from scratch. Nowadays my duties correspond to the services coordination; budget and work plan implementation; contract handling; and manage a small team.

I am interested in research, evidence-based practice, expert searching and retrieval, metrics and alternative metrics, publication impact assessment, Open Access, information dissemination, library management, and professional roles and competences.
