MEDIEVAL TALLINN, June 29

Tour programme
Departure by boat from Helsinki Länsiterminaali ( the harbour) for Tallinn, Estonia's capital, in the morning ( more specific timetable later)

The city tour with English-speaking guide will take you around the most important sights, also outside Medieval Tallinn, such as the Song Festival grounds and the 18th century Kadriorg park and palace. Walking tour of the Old Town area, a compact maze of cobblestone streets, historical buildings and breathtaking vistas. Since 1997 the Old Town has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Lunch is included in this tour and is served in one of the charming restaurants in the Old Town. After lunch there will be some free time to explore the shops and sights on your own.

Return in the evening. Duration approx 10-12 hrs.

TOUR TO ST PETERSBURG

Sunday June 29

At 07.23. the train leaves from Helsinki railwaystation to St Petersburg. Arrival to St.Petersburg around 2 pm.

Visit to Pushkin and Catherine's Palace - a magnificent Imperial Palace, located some 25 km south of the city. It is considered a pearl of the Russian Baroque architecture and interior design of the 18th century.

dinner at hotel & overnight at hotel Nevsky Forum

Monday June 30

in the morning city tour including a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress, around which the city originally grew up. Lunch in a very nice city restaurant

Culture and later return back to the hotel.Possibility to see a folklore show or ballett in one of the many theatres of St.Petersburg (extra charge). Overnight at hotel Nevsky Forum

Tuesday July 1

SANTA CLAUS SAFARI, LAPLAND , June 28-30

Departure for the tour on Saturday evening, june 28. You will arrive in Rovaniemi by train in the morning on Sunday. First you will have some free time in the town to for example enjoy breakfast.

The tour begins from the Safari Club. It begins with a trip by traditional riverboat and a visit to a local Reindeer cottage to hear about the reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You will participate in the special ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. Lappish style lunch will be served at the Reindeer cottage. You are also welcome to visit the home of the Lappish family and their Workshop.

In the afternoon you visit Santa Claus in his workshop on the Arctic Circle. Time for shopping at the Santa Claus Village and to send postcards from Santa’s main post office. The tour ends in the city of Rovaniemi where you will have free time to explore Rovaniemi on your own before your return trip back to Helsinki.Night Train. Arrival in Helsinki June 30
