as an e-mail attachment by 30 April 2011. Please introduce yourself to the Session Chair prior to the start of the session at the Workshop Venue.

PowerPoint presentations

All presentations must be brought to the Information Desk on the previous day of the presentation to ensure their timely loading on the concerned computers. The presentation must be submitted in MS PowerPoint.

Workshop proceedings

The proceedings will be published on the EAHIL Workshop website immediately after the Workshop. The International Program Committee appreciates your co-operation in following the instructions to produce papers that are uniform in format. Please see the template.

  Paper format
  Papers should be supplied in MS Word. Papers should be typed in single spaced and left justified using Times Roman font size 12 point.
 
  Paper title
  The title of the paper should be typed in Title Case (boldface 12pt) and left justified on the page. The author's name in bold letters and left justified on the page. Underline the presenting author in case the paper is co-authored. Directly under the author's name and also left justified is the author's affiliation institution, town and country, plus e-mail address of presenting or first author.
 
  Abstract
  Underneath the paper title section, please type the heading 'Abstract' and insert the text of the abstract which summarizes the material contained in the paper. Keywords should be placed after the abstract. Abstract lenghth should not exceed 2500 characters.
 
  Sections
  The full text should be clearly structures, if appropriate, into sections, e.g. Introduction, Objectives, Methods etc. The section titles should be in bold sentence case, subsections (if any) in italics. Please do not number them.
 
  Figures and tables
  Figures and tables should be inserted at the appropriate places in the text, left justifies, numbered with Arabic numerals, and each should have a caption underneath. Care should be taken that the lettering is not too small. The use of colour in figures and tables is permitted and encouraged. All the figures should also be sent as separate files, preferably JPG format, 300 dpi.
 
  Acronyms
  All acronyms should be defined the first time they appear.
 
  Acknowledgements
  The acknowledgement for funding organizations etc. should be placed in a separate section at the end of the text.
 
  References
  Authors are requested to use the Vancouver referencing style. Details are available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html
 
  Electronic submission
  E-mail the full text of your paper to the Chair of the International Program Committee, Mrs. Tuba Akbaytürk Çanak  eahil2011_IPC@ku.edu.tr as an e-mail attachment by 30 April 2011.

Poster Presentations:

The poster exhibition will open on the same day of the Workshop, Wednesday 6th July. The time for putting up your poster will be on the same day between 10.00 and 15.00. Upon registration each poster will receive a number, which will be clearly marked on the poster board and also used for identifying your poster on the final Workshop Program. Posters should be taken down before 14.00 Friday July 8th.

The authors will be requested to stand by their posters during the Poster Exhibition Opening on Wednesday, 6 July 15.30-17.00 and to present them to Workshop participants.

  Poster size and format
  The size of a poster board will be 85 cm wide x 154 cm high. Size A0 Portrait orientation (0.84 x 1.19m) must be respected. The design of the poster must conform to readability standards from a distance of at least 1.5 to 2 meters. Posters must be prepared as a single poster and not as a collage.
 
  Poster display
  The poster boards will be equipped with pockets for handouts (A4), which the authors are requested to provide. Attachment to the poster board is by push pins only and there will be supplies of these available at the Workshop Information Desk.
 
  Electronic submission
  Posters will also be published on the EAHIL Workshop website immediately after the Workshop. Please refer to the guidelines provided under the Workshop Proceedings heading. Email the full text of your poster and its layout in PDF to the Chair of the International Programme Committee, Tuba Akbaytürk Çanak

  Best poster session
  This session will be held on Friday 8th July as a parallel session between 10.00 –11.30. The 10 best posters previously selected and informed by the International Programme Committee will be presented in 5 minutes each.
