  Biography

 

Hatem Nour-El Din Mohamed is a Technical Officer of the Library and Health Literature Services, World Health Organization, Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO-EMRO), Egypt. He has been working for WHO-EMRO since 1996 in the Library in different areas and activities with different capacities. He is the Project Manager of WHO-EMRO Index Medicus for Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR). He is responsible for the HINARI training activities in 11 eligable countries in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. Since 2004 he conducted more than 50 training workshops in HINARI and translated the training materials to into Arabic. Previously he was in charge of the Central Scientific Library, Alexandria University, Egypt. He is a member of a number of national and international professional societies and associations specialized in library and information technology and health informatics. He has a degree in Librarianship and Information Sciences and Master degree in Information Techology.

 

Since March 2008, Gaby Caro is the HINARI Technical Officer at the World Health Organization, Switzerland. She is responsible for the HINARI HelpDesk, is involved in HINARI training activities around the world, and supports the development, update and translation of the HINARI training materials. Gaby has a degree in Librarianship and Information Science, formerly worked as the Information & Documentation Technician at the Pan American Health Organization/WHO Peru Country Office (1994 to Feb. 2008). Since HINARI was launched she conducted a number of HINARI training courses, and translated the training materials to Spanish

  Course description

This Community discussion will provide a forum for the HINARI users, to share experiences, successes, challenges, concerns with each other and with the programme representatives. It will consist of a 15-20 minute presentation of HINARI key topics and new advances, followed by questions and facilitated discussion. The topics we propose are the following:

  5. Marketing, outreach and promotion
  6. Looking beyond 2015
